Food Expo 2008


Food Expo 2008 showcased what local and international companies have to offer for the increasingly vibrant food and beverage industry in Oman. It was formally inaugurated by His Excellency Mohammed Bin Hamood Bin Zahir Al Toobi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism, highlighting the importance of the event in the face of increasing tourism activity in the sultanate.

Food Expo 2008 attracted the participation of exhibitors from many countries including Germany, Italy, Portugal, Thailand, Slovenia, Brunei and the UAE. The three-day event was visited by over 6,200 trade professionals, thus effectively bridging the gap between food manufacturers and distributors and between equipment suppliers and users.
